Badminton India is paving the way for other national federations facing tough economic times.

The new generation of Jamaican Badminton Players are begining to emerge in time for the 2016 Olympics in nearby Rio.

Youngsters Dennis Coke and Anthony McNee will participate in the Pan Am Youth Olympic Games badminton qualification tournament which started Sunday morning in Lima, Peru.

The two Jamaicans accompanied by coach Lisco Jackson left the island Saturday for Panama en route to Lima.

As reported by several international publications, the BWF has backed down after a three month battle to keep Badminton amidst the core sporting arena at the London olympics.

“The 2012 London Olympics venues will be finalised soon after rhythmic gymnastics and badminton reluctantly agreed to move to Wembley Arena, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said on Thursday. [..]
